titleless

No matter how technical this may sound, our media is not formulated nor is it strategized; its too market and lessee of an agenda oriented. Which makes it isolated in-terms of coming up with a common platform; however so that it has even spoiled the advertisers with all that TPR bullshit, no one is least concerned with what they put on-air, or even if they are it just doesn’t fall through for the ordinary.

The question is; should media of any given specific country formulate a common platform? Through which quality can be assured, with so many channels beaming with their loud bokharis, painful mirs and killingly-boring kamrans; how does the next generation breaks the status quo? How would they be able to tell what is expected from them, when all they are guided by are waging bunch of seths (sait, saith, sayth, seith…or whatever). The culture so dominating the industry that it has actually put the ordinary in a state of constant variance.

I mean why are they so many news channel neither of which are global, and its not like we’re as big as US of A or even In-deee-Aa.

Where’s the progression; when the governing system is ineffective and inefficient, the establishment is engaged in a war within, who plays what role when the stage that was put up back in ’47 is up for grabs.

Should our media evolve or revolutionize? Do we at any point become progressive, and convey messages for the greater national good?

Its amazing how the frenzy social media networks have more of an progressive approach then the conventional media, with constant flow of information, every second is dedicated to a tweet, every hour to a blog, every forth to errrrrrr…I don’t know and I don’t give a crap.

I don’t have anything to do with the 18th amendments and the restoration of judiciary (yes I am still whining over what happened was it last year…God!!! look what it has done to me), I need to know how I can help Pakistan, how I can help the poor people, how I can save water, how I can create opportunities even if they’re just insignificant, how we become a low carbon economy when green age is going to hit us and now who is going to tell me all that, when the media is sooooo hooked onto shoaib-sania saga; sania had Iranian food for lunch, shoaib’s house is all lit-up, oh the couple just sneezed-the health ministry was called in, one of the news channel ‘the giants’ ran over six packages – sixfuckinpackages on the two, like of all the crises situation we’re in right now , the most important of all are the sania and shoaib happening in Pakistan, I quote my brother after the never-ending love story, “soon it’ll be a part our curriculum and we’ll be celebrating it as national holiday ‘the san-sho day’ …”

We live in a country where 6-year old girls are married to 70-year old men, where daughter-in-laws are burned alive, they get buried, they’re murdered over a certain so love-interest, or even used as a compensatory tool to settle a tribal feud.

My beliefs are being constantly doctored everyday, I was already random and I thought the News Industry was IT for me-four years later I have started looking at it from the outside, and yes I can tell;
"heaven from hell
blue skies from pain
green field from a cold steel rail
smile from a veil" (PF)

We need to put in alot of effort. More Hours, Less Sunshine!
